We have always worked in our local community with the primary purpose to empower people to learn new skills, build their confidence and be the best they can.
We initially set up the smallholding with the intention of spending more time outdoors with our animals. However we realised that we could share the experience with our local community so they could also gain the same pleasure and rewards as us from being on the smallholding.
With the help from our family and friends and the local disabled community we put up the fencing, gates, and mobile stables; created a garden which produces vegetables , cut flowers and a small dye garden; brought in rare breed sheep to help manage the pasture; taught our Shetland ponies to pull small farming equipment and purchased hens for fresh eggs. We have been on an amazing journey and it is all the better for sharing this with our small team of clients.
